Event
In 2021, we innovated by holding the first online edition of TEDxPortoSeguroSchool, which was dedicated to finding speakers who were high school students with compelling stories and innovative proposals for the world. With the theme “Pandemic: Year Zero. Shall we restart?”, this edition featured 18 speakers sharing their stories of overcoming challenges and ideas for improving quality of life.
The 2023 edition of TEDxPortoSeguroSchool was held in the Auditorium of the Vila Andrade Campus, addressing the theme “Opportunities”. The event was a grand occasion where the 14 speakers from Vila Andrade were able to present their projects to the world, sharing their ideas and inspiring the community with their visions and initiatives.
The 2024 edition of TEDxPortoSeguroSchool took place again at the Vila Andrade Campus with the theme “Problem + Action”. With 19 speakers, this edition proposed a reflection on the challenges we face and how each of us can contribute with practical and innovative solutions to build a more sustainable world.
In 2025, TEDxPortoSeguroSchool will reach its 3rd edition at the Vila Andrade Campus with the theme “From Fiction to Reality”. Seventeen speakers will bring reflections on how fiction has inspired advances in science, technology, and culture – from artificial intelligence to social change. Together, they will pose a provocative question: what futures do we want to imagine and build?

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of discovering and spreading ideas, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
